And now, for something completly different.
(Keeping it short since this is a retro podcast, not a blog for people who live in the basement)
I loved the first Modern warfare, and World at War, but MW2i have issues with...
$60 for a PC game PLUS DLC you have to pay for later on...
The PC is not a console. what sets the PC apart is the ability to mod the game.
Now i say dont buy the game. But gamers are stupid. Sheep really. And they will buy the game justifying the price tag, therefore enabling all the other publishers out there to jack up their prices to $60, plus charge for DLC, and probably charge a monthly fee for it too.
Best way to get a company to listen to you, DONT BUY THE GAME!

I totally agree with you! I'm not much of an FPS fan at all, but I loved COD4, and I was so excited for the sequel… But as soon as I heard they weren't going to allow dedicated servers anymore, I canceled my pre-order, even though I had saved 20 dollars when I pre-ordered… I really hope the company decides to fix their ways, if they do I'll order the game again, but as it stands I'm just going to pirate it.

I agree. Sadly i will be pirating this game as well. The whole consolizing of the PC is pissing me off. You make us pay more for your game that has fewer features, and then on top of that have us upgrade our system so we can play it.
“Here is your car, but thats $500 extra for the tires, $250 for the steering wheel, and $400 for one(1) seat.”

Call me what you will but I'm sort of anti-piracy. (Unless I really hate the company.)
However I agree with you in that it's a ripoff so I might download my friends copy. (Dont know if that's possible yet since I haven't checked the security)
Technically it's not pirating right?

Honestly, if PC gamers wanted a console experience they'd buy the damn game for their 360 or PS3. What pisses me off; is companies thinking they know what gamers want, when in reality they make decisions like this, that are exactly NOT what gamers want.

I don't agree with piracy either, but this is total BS what activision is trying. The PC is not a console, and i dont care what argument you use $60 is not needed. If Stardock and Ironclad Games can make a game with 10 people and charge under $40, then why the hell do other developers need teams of 100s of people?

Mythic is a great example of a developer thinking they know better than those playing their game.

Oh yeah I agree completely though. I'm definitely not going to go buy the game. At least until they get their head out of their ass.
And on an unrelated note, nice reference in the title. I completely forgot it until I started to post my reply.
